Seniors as consumers


As consumers seniors are a wide and colourful group, so you cant put them in the same segment. Senior's segment forms many marketing segments. The fact is that generally speaking stable finances and seniors are consuming already 35 - 55 % of anything that has been marketed. And in the future the number will increase.

95 % of the marketing campaings made in 1997 were targeted to people under the age of 50. It has been ten years from this
settlement but the situation hasn't changed much.

Only a few companies has taken this marketing segment as their own and exploited it in their business activity. Seniors consuming behaviour has been solved in France, and the results are the following: In 15 years the whole populations consuming has increased by 22 %, and seniors by 64 %.
